There are many ways that a teen driver can get cheap car insurance. It is important to remember, however, that there are many variables in place in the insurance industry to keep those premiums at a level that best meets the usual standards of teen drivers.
There are a number of ways that a teen driver can go about getting cheap car insurance. It is important to realize that there is actually a lot of variance when it comes to car insurance prices and costs. This is because the insurance is based on several variables and is comprised of various components that take those variables into account. Finding cheap motor insurance is partially dependent on how the vehicle is operated, the safety of the vehicle, the distance the vehicle will be driven, and the safety of the driver in general.
Operating a motor vehicle is certainly an aspect of life that many teens are excited about. Teen girls and boys are enthralled at the notion of hopping behind the wheel of a car and getting their driver's licenses as soon as possible. This philosophy, however, has implications for the insurance of the driver and can mean a lot when it comes to getting cheap car insurance for a teen. Teens operating a motor vehicle need to realize that the rates that they will get from an insurance company have an awful lot to do with their driving record.
Teen drivers are more prone to having higher car insurance rates because of the relatively high rate of accidents and incidents involving teen drivers. Finding cheap vehicle insurance for a teen can be a daunting task because the deck is virtually stacked against the particular age group because of the norm in driving incidents. For this reason, motor insurance companies offer premiums to drivers that continue to drive without incident or accident. Various programs are in place to enable teen drivers to work on incentive programs that reward good driving with better insurance rates.
If a teen drives without speeding tickets, traffic violations or accidents, the rates for motor insurance should function in their favor. The premiums will inevitably go lower when the insurance companies realize that they can offer cheap car insurance for the teen driver on the premise that the driver is operating safely. Cheap car insurance is a result of having a good driving record, a quality insurance company, and the right variables in place for specific operation of the motor vehicle.
There is also the issue of rating classes in terms of cars. Most quotes for car insurance also take into account the type of vehicle that is being driven. Cars in the sports-class, for example, rate higher and are not as likely to garner cheap car insurance because of the ultimate danger in driving a faster, sportier car. Buying a teen a sports car for their sixteenth birthday, then, is not the best of ideas if the goal is to get reasonable quotes for car insurance.
Finding cheap car insurance for a teen can be difficult because teens inhabit such a high risk category for providers. Insurance companies are very skeptical of supplying their best rates to teens because of the association between teens and poor driving habits. Instead, getting cheap car insurance should be focused on the other variables such as the vehicle itself, the traveling conditions most normally driven in, and the driver's potential for risk.

Car Insurance - How to Get it Cheaper
By Clara Dolors
Car insurance rates are on the rise and there seems to be nothing you can do about it. While it is true you can’t change your past driving record, your age, or your credit rating there are some actions you can consider taking to get a cheaper car insurance rate.
If you are purchasing a car consider buying a car with a smaller engine. The faster the car goes the higher the insurance rate will be regardless of your other risk factors. Fins, a spoiler or other modifications to your car can raise your insurance rates. Make sure you identify all your car’s security systems or consider adding security features as these can help you get cheaper car insurance rates.
If possible park the car overnight in a garage or driveway off the public streets. Insurance companies will give you a cheaper car insurance rate if there is less risk of the car being hit or stolen overnight.
If you don’t drive many miles make sure you indicate that on your application to ensure you get a cheaper car insurance rate. Raising your deductible always results in a cheaper car insurance rate. Adding an older, more experienced driver to your policy will sometimes get you a cheaper car insurance rate.
If you are a first time driver make sure you take a drivers’ education safety class to get a cheaper car insurance rate. Completing the Pass Plus course, designed by the Driving Standards Agency in conjunction with the insurance industry, will lower your rates. Pass Plus is a minimum six hour course you can take after you pass your drivers’ license test. This course will give you additional driving skills and confidence and is a factor many insurance companies take into account in determining your car insurance rate. If you are still in school and have good grades you may also qualify for cheaper car insurance rates with a good student discount.
The easiest way to get cheaper car insurance rates is to shop around and get quotes from multiple insurance companies. You can do this on numerous car insurance quote sites. Research results indicate that consumers who shop around get cheaper car insurance rates. Don’t assume that if you stay with the same insurance company for a long time they will reward you with the best rates. Many insurance companies offer a lower rate to new customers so it is a good idea to compare other company’s rates with your current rate every so often.
Whatever else you do don’t eliminate from your coverage any insurance you really need. It might make the rate look better right now but could cost you sometime in the future. And be honest in your application. A white lie or an omission of relevant information could invalidate your policy.
And remember cheaper is not always better. Make sure the policy you are buying has everything you need. A lower car insurance rate will not save you money in the long run if it does not include the coverage you need. Make sure when you compare car insurance quotes you are comparing apples to apples coverage.

How to get cheap Car Insurance
By Maksym200 Holovchenko200
Auto Insurance
I was not sure what to do after I passed my road test. I had my driver’s license. The rust bucket car sitting out in the garage was waiting for me to wake it from its musty slumber. The only thing I needed before I could drive it out into the world was auto insurance.
I had to get some car insurance quotes. I thumbed through the “car insurance” section of my phonebook and did not know where to start. I picked a number and was put on hold for about ten minutes. When I finally got through to someone, she told me that they do not insure drivers under the age of 18 unless a parent held a policy with them. Frustrated, I tried another number to find out that they do not even insure in my state. I wondered why they would advertise in a state they cannot do business in. It just did not make any sense to me at all.
It was all so complicated. Surely there was an easier way. I wondered to myself if I could purchase online car insurance. Everything is available online so I figured auto insurance would be too.
So I sat down at my computer and logged myself onto the internet. I pulled up my favorite search engine and searched “auto insurance quotes.” I was absolutely amazed at the number of car insurance companies that I could choose from! I decided to try the first company on the list. It only took me a few minutes to fill out the online application form. Before I knew it, I had a quote. It was that easy. I thought that I should get at least one more quote to make sure that I was getting a good deal so I tried another insurance company’s website. I filled out the online application form and this time, was given the rates of five different companies. I, of course, decided to pick the company that had the lowest quote. I was able to pay the insurance premium with a credit card.
I was shocked to find out that all I had to do was print my insurance card. After the phone fiasco, I did not expect it to be so uncomplicated. I was finally ready to get behind the wheel and hit the road.
The next morning I headed into the garage and slid into the driver’s seat. I checked the position of my mirrors, put my seatbelt on, and turned the key. The engine sputtered a glorious tune. I turned the radio dial until I found a good song as I put the car into gear. I dug through my purse and found my sunglasses. I was ready. I was finally about to drive my own car around town. I eased my foot off of the brake and onto the gas and…CRASH!
I had accidentally put the car into “reverse” instead of “drive” and backed into the garage wall. I was so embarrassed! The neighbors must have heard the crash. What would I tell my parents? I knew my friends would never let me forget my blunder.
However, the level of my embarrassment did not even come close to the amount of relief that I felt. I sighed to myself knowing that I had auto insurance. I had purchased online car insurance just the day before. I knew that I would be back online that afternoon, but instead of looking up car insurance quotes, I would be searching for a repairman.
