Car Dealers - Great Import Models

By Pete J Ridgard

If you are looking to buy yourself a new car, but want something a little different, then perhaps you should look at car dealers in your area who specialise in imports. I realise you may think that import cars are only for the serious boy racers out there, and you would be partly right, but it is surprising what comes over the seas if you know where to look. Imagine owning something that you know for a fact, only a few other people (or even none at all) have in the whole country. Next time you go for a drive just count the Renault Clio's and Ford Focus' and you'll soon come to realise that the roads do look like a scene from Groundhog Day.

Think back to those times when you are strolling down the high street, and a unique car drives past. You will always stop and stare, whether it is a mid-life crisis Ferrari or a hippy in a VW campervan, we all like to see something unusual and fun on the roads. If you don't mind being the centre of attention every now and again (and always for the right reasons) then maybe this is something that you should be looking into.

Japanese cars are the obvious choice for import car dealers, as the Japanese drive on the left like we do, and they have a wealth of super cool cars to choose from. The Honda Integra is a really good looking car, and you don't have to drive it around with so many extras that it looks like it might take off. Without the spoilers and body kit it's actually a really classy looking car.

The Mitsubishi Evolution (and the Mitsubishi Lancer) does tend to top the scale for boy racer factor, but even so, you can buy them imported for surprisingly low prices, and we all know there's a little racer inside all of us just bursting to drive something that sounds as good as an Evolution. It's a powerful feeling that you would never get from a drab Ford Focus, let's admit it.

The Nissan Skyline is another import classic that your local car dealer may have in stock, and if you have put your boy racer days behind you and settled down, maybe this is the car for you? It can be classed as a family car size wise, and I'm sure your kids wouldn't mind being dropped off at school if they're going to be arriving in one of those. It certainly beats a people carrier in the trendy stakes.

There is a surprising amount of choice and room for modifying to suit ones needs. If you hadn't thought of import cars before, it's something that you should look into. They can be fun and add a bit of uniqueness to our grey roads. Import car dealers are also usually open to seeking out a particular model for you and getting it shipped over if required, and parts are easily accessible through the specialist car dealers as well. Why not be a bit different? After all, if we were all meant to be the same, we would have been made that way.
