Tips on How To Find Cheap Car Insurance
By Terje Brooks Ellingsen
There are many ways that a teen driver can get cheap car insurance. It is important to remember, however, that there are many variables in place in the insurance industry to keep those premiums at a level that best meets the usual standards of teen drivers.
There are a number of ways that a teen driver can go about getting cheap car insurance. It is important to realize that there is actually a lot of variance when it comes to car insurance prices and costs. This is because the insurance is based on several variables and is comprised of various components that take those variables into account. Finding cheap motor insurance is partially dependent on how the vehicle is operated, the safety of the vehicle, the distance the vehicle will be driven, and the safety of the driver in general.
Operating a motor vehicle is certainly an aspect of life that many teens are excited about. Teen girls and boys are enthralled at the notion of hopping behind the wheel of a car and getting their driver's licenses as soon as possible. This philosophy, however, has implications for the insurance of the driver and can mean a lot when it comes to getting cheap car insurance for a teen. Teens operating a motor vehicle need to realize that the rates that they will get from an insurance company have an awful lot to do with their driving record.
Teen drivers are more prone to having higher car insurance rates because of the relatively high rate of accidents and incidents involving teen drivers. Finding cheap vehicle insurance for a teen can be a daunting task because the deck is virtually stacked against the particular age group because of the norm in driving incidents. For this reason, motor insurance companies offer premiums to drivers that continue to drive without incident or accident. Various programs are in place to enable teen drivers to work on incentive programs that reward good driving with better insurance rates.
If a teen drives without speeding tickets, traffic violations or accidents, the rates for motor insurance should function in their favor. The premiums will inevitably go lower when the insurance companies realize that they can offer cheap car insurance for the teen driver on the premise that the driver is operating safely. Cheap car insurance is a result of having a good driving record, a quality insurance company, and the right variables in place for specific operation of the motor vehicle.
There is also the issue of rating classes in terms of cars. Most quotes for car insurance also take into account the type of vehicle that is being driven. Cars in the sports-class, for example, rate higher and are not as likely to garner cheap car insurance because of the ultimate danger in driving a faster, sportier car. Buying a teen a sports car for their sixteenth birthday, then, is not the best of ideas if the goal is to get reasonable quotes for car insurance.
Finding cheap car insurance for a teen can be difficult because teens inhabit such a high risk category for providers. Insurance companies are very skeptical of supplying their best rates to teens because of the association between teens and poor driving habits. Instead, getting cheap car insurance should be focused on the other variables such as the vehicle itself, the traveling conditions most normally driven in, and the driver's potential for risk.

Honda Clean Burning Efforts
By John Davidson
Honda latest attempts at creating a clean burning diesel engine.
If it seems like the automotive industry has maxed out its options when it comes to creating new and innovative technologies, vehicles, and components, think again. These days, there is definitely a premium placed on innovation and creativity – meaning that even automotive giants with a strong foothold in the industry are constantly being challenged to think on their feet and develop top-notch new programs and components. When it comes to Honda Parts, there is definitely room for plenty of growth: the company is known for its commitment to quality, integrity, and innovation, meaning you can count on Honda to constantly be pushing the bar in terms of where new automotive technologies can go.
So what’s new in the land of innovative Honda Parts? In September of 2006, Honda Motor Company officially announced the successful development of a next-generation diesel engine with exhaust emissions at levels low enough to rival those of gasoline-based engines. This is a significant step: in years past, diesel engines have been avoided in much of the automotive industry that was geared towards the public at large due to the increased pollution. Developing a clean-burning next-generation diesel engine, however, would open up a new kind of system and new type of viable fuel to a much wider marketplace.
So how does the new clean-burning Honda Parts diesel engine work? Inside, you’ll find a revolutionary NOx catalytic converter that is specifically designed to drastically reduce the NOx emissions present. In fact, this device is so successful at reducing NOx emissions that it brings emissions all the way down to the point where they can meet the standards set by the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Tier II Bin 5 requirements. When Honda Parts technology is used to “detoxify” harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) by turning it into simple, harmless nitrogen (N2, an existing part of our atmosphere and the air we breathe), you’re getting a major overhaul of the things that are possible in today’s automotive industry.
Honda’s ongoing development of this next generation clean-burning diesel engine is indicative of changes in the company as a whole: Honda has made a major commitment to creating vehicles that are clean, efficient, and environmentally friendly. Honda believes that the best way to fight pollution and fuel dependency is to widen the field of viable options – and working with the diesel engine is a critical step in the process.

GPS Devices Are Great Investments
By Cindy Heller
Effective GPS tracking devices are great tools to help you keep track of your loved ones, employees, products and equipment. Since these GPS tracking devices are so prevalent today, you will be able to find a suitable solution that fits your budget. Installing a GPS tracking device is a good financial and management decision. It is difficult to imagine running a business today without a GPS tracking device. Just imagine the manual communication and tracking overheads that will be required to track where your company's assets are and whether your customers are being serviced effectively. You will need to make frequent phone calls to keep track of everyone and to ensure that the entire business process flow is working well.
With the amazing advances in technology, GPS tracking devices have made things like tracking of employees and vehicles much easier. There are sufficient proven advantages in installing a GPS tracking device. Some of these are:
1) Monitor and plan the movement of your company's vehicles
With a GPS tracking device, you can easily plan an efficient delivery route without much time or money being wasted. In the past, before the introduction of GPS tracking devices, it would be almost impossible for you to realize if some of your employees have been skiving on their job with the company's vehicles in tow.
However, things are different now with GPS tracking devices being installed by more companies. You will be able to figure out the real-time location of your driver and if the travelling time to the planned destination took as long or longer.
2) Recover stolen goods
It is nearly impossible to predict when a company vehicle will be stolen. So installing a GPS tracking device ahead of time is smart. Without a GPS tracking device, it will take the police a longer time to track down the stolen vehicle. In that critical lost time, both the vehicle and its precious content may be disposed off.
With a GPS tracking device installed, it will be of great help to the police as the time taken to find the vehicle will be greatly reduced.
3) Ensure the safety of your employees
GPS tracking devices can improve the safety of your employees. Employees are exposed to the danger of piracy or highway robbery if crooks realize that they are delivering goods that are of high value. Since GPS tracking devices can help keep track of your employees in real-time, you can offer help quickly and minimize their risks if should they meet with any danger.
A Portable GPS Helps You Get Around
Having a portable GPS tracking system with you when you are out on your trip is always advantageous. A portable GPS tracking system can help you find your way around in various circumstances. It can help you if you are on a jungle trek. It can also help you if you are trying to make your way around busy city centers.
In the old days if you were preparing for a trek, you would need to find an appropriate map that covers the region where you plan to explore. You run the risk of venturing off into areas that are not covered by the paper map. It is unlikely that you will bring enough maps to cover all possible contingencies. Your planned route may be blocked by fallen trees or landslides. The area may have been flooded or waterlogged. The detours that you may have to take may heighten the chances of you getting lost. Your map may also be damaged by heavy rain if the map is not well protected in a waterproof sheath. If it gets dark and you are unprepared, you may not be able to read your map. Getting lost in the woods or the jungle can be a harrowing experience. If you need a search and rescue mission to get you out of the situation, this may take time. A rugged portable GPS device may be a real lifesaver in these situations.
The portable GPS device can easily indicate to the user their position with just a click of a button. From that position, the user can try to find a way out of the area and the chances of getting lost are greatly minimized. You do not need lots of space in your luggage to accommodate a portable GPS.
It is generally quite easy to use a portable GPS as you can get instructions that appear on the screen's display. Moreover, most models now come with a voice sampler that provides you instructions clearly instead of reading them off the screen. This allows the user to understand the portable GPS device in a more interactive way.
Basically, a portable GPS is a fantastic way for determining your location with the help of the voice sampler and allows the user to find their way through unfamiliar places with ease. In many cases, the use of a portable GPS system helps to avert the user from getting into difficult or dangerous situations.

Find An Appropriate Car Audio Systems
By Alex Olson
The music and sounds that come out of an automobile is called a car audio system and nowadays, there is a never-ending supply of basic modifications to elaborate upgrades to consider. Even now, the stock car audio arrangements associated with manufacturers offer much more than the 8-track and tape cassette players of yesterday. Today, many people hold the audio system of a car in such regard that high-tech customization has become a booming industry.
At the moment, one of the most common and well known components of car audio systems is the head unit, which highlights the radio, tape player, CD player, and DVD capability when applicable. Over the years, the technology of the head unit has become enhanced by the ability to support products and services, such as MP3's, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
Most of the modern cars on the market are now outfitted with at least a CD player with the option of a CD changer, which allows users to switch back and forth between multiple disks that are stored in a console or trunk unit. With the advancement of systems for the car, sound now accompanies DVD players and LCD screen features, where movies and music videos can play during travel.
In addition to the head unit, speakers play an important role in enjoying a car audio system. Typically, speakers are situated in the doors, installed in rear panels, or mounted in various locations, which is a far cry from the speakers positioned in the middle of the dashboard of older car models. Of recent, it is rather popular for drivers to select high-end speaker equipment called component speakers, which includes subwoofers (larger with a low frequency); midrange (medium-sized with medium frequency); and tweeters (small speakers packing high frequency). Component speakers are also available in 2- and 3-speaker arrangements, where consumers usually mix and match units to obtain desired bass and other preferences.
Delivering a specific amount of wattage to speakers are amplifiers, which give off the impression of a loudspeaker system. Most importantly, it is vital to match suitable capacities regarding speakers and amplifiers in order to preserve equipment.
When choosing a car audio system, deciding what type of high-end installations you may want is necessary, especially when you are working with a budget. Some of the components to consider include audio processors, cables, equalizers, steering wheel controls, and computerized features. Common choices also involve the installation of speaker pods, amp racks, and subwoofer enclosures.
After you have made a list of desired items, it is suggested to comparison-shop at a few stores, where you can ask different salespeople questions regarding selections, prices, and installation. When it comes to choosing a stereo, it is important to listen to each potential option. The equipment should be easy to operate and come with various items, such as a faceplate, carrying case, necessary plugs, as well as an easy-to-follow owner's and installation manual.
Tips on choosing a stereo for your car audio system includes looking for a unit with a built-in power source. Desirable units should offer four channels in order to hook up four speakers. Stereos should have high-level outputs when you don't wish to purchase an amplifier and low-level outputs when using an amplifier. The stereo should also have a fader for volume adjustment of the front and rear speakers.
Overall, it takes a bit of patience to find the appropriate audio arrangements that suit both your tastes and budget. With any piece of car audio equipment, the buyer should also conduct research on brands and models in order to make the best decision for their vehicle.

Carburetor Kits
By Eric Morris
This article provides useful, detailed information about Carburetor Kits.
The carburetor is one of the most important parts in automobile engines. The carburetor ensures that there is the right mix of gasoline and air in the engine so that the engine functions correctly. Too much air or too much gasoline in the mixture causes damage to the engine, so a carburetor is very important in all stages of the engine functioning. Carburetors are generally found in old cars and in small engine automobiles like 2-wheelers, lawn mowers, and chain saws. All new cars use the fuel injection technique instead of carburetors because of its low emission levels and fuel efficiency.
A carburetor is just a tube with an adjustable plate called the throttle placed across it. This throttle controls the amount of air that flows through the tube. The carburetor tube narrows down at a place called the venture, where a vacuum is created. There is a hole in this narrowing called the jet that allows the fuel to be drawn in because of the vacuum. There are several parts in a carburetor that allow for smooth functioning. They are the pilot, pilot airscrew, throttle valve, jet needle, needle jet, air jet, and main jet.
Carburetor kits are a complete set of carburetor parts that can be easily assembled and placed in an engine. These kits are pre-tested and pre-jetted. Most carburetor kits contain parts for replacing broken down parts within the carburetor. They can be customized to fit the exact model of the carburetor. There are carburetor kits available for Harley-Davidson, Triumph, and Norton bikes. Carburetor kits are very important since very few cars and bikes use carburetors these days so carburetor kits help to keep old Harley-Davidson engine running, for example. Though all carburetors are not the same, there are some common makes of carburetors for which kits are readily available at automotive dealers' stores. Kits for specialized carburetors are available at specialty automotive stores.
There are several websites on the Internet that contain information about carburetor rebuilding. These sites also provide carburetor rebuild kits for many car models including pickup trucks, SUVs, vans, and recreational vehicles. These kits can be ordered online and are usually shipped on the same day. They also provide professional support by technicians who would take a look at the engine and help to decide the best carburetor kit for rebuilding the carburetor.

Buying a Car After a Bankruptcy
By Vaughn Barry
Bankruptcy isn’t the end of the line, think of it as the beginning of a fresh financial future. There are several reasons why people enter a bankruptcy: marriage split, loss of income, illness etc. Car loans are a great tool for rebuilding your credit report. In this uncertain financial time many people can get themselves into trouble credit-wise however there are bad credit auto loans available.
“Easy to say but how do I do it?” Well, there are several things to consider
a) Know your budget and what you can afford. Sit down by yourself or partner and write everything down on a piece of paper. Everything like money coming in and money going out each month needs to be considered.
b) Keep copies of your pay stubs & tax documents in a safe, secure place. These documents are nearly always required by lenders to prove to them how much money you are making.
c) Keep copies of all of your bankruptcy papers for future reference. Sometimes lenders will want to see these documents. Your initial bankruptcy papers showing what was included in your filing and your discharge papers are the most commonly request documents.
d) Review your credit report for accuracy. You can obtain a copy of your credit file through the two main reporting agencies in Canada: Equifax Canada (Equifax.ca) and Trans Union (transunion.ca). You should do this periodically to assure that the information on your credit file is complete and accurate.
e) Purchase from the right dealership and lender program! There are two types of non-prime lenders in the Canadian automotive market: 1) Standard financial institutions and 2) In-House leasing companies. The standard finance companies place a secured lien on your credit file and show each payment you make. Showing each payment you make is very important as it improves your credit rating and other lenders can see it. The In-House or ‘Buy-Here-Pay-Here’ dealerships place a secured lien on your credit file however rarely show each payment you make often due to a lack of resources.
Don’t be swayed by interest rates. Understandably, rates will be higher following a bankruptcy filing however there are programs available to break you out of existing loans after a year or so. These initial higher interest loans serve as a credit re-building tool and once you’ve established a positive payment history you can qualify for lower rate loans. There is no magic pill, it’s just time, following the proper advice and hard work!
At NewRoads Credit we have talented people with industry-specific experience working on your bad credit auto loan. We have 6 dealerships in our NewRoads Group serving all of Ontario. Car Accidents
By Eric Morris
Even with all the current safety precautions and rules and regulations currently implemented, car accidents continue to rise in numbers. Public awareness has increased due to the various public campaigns that have been arranged for this purpose in recent times, but car accidents still happen much too frequently.
Accidents may happen due to a defect in the car or due to reckless driving of the driver. Of course, it could be possible that accidents occur due to the fault of another driver even when the injured party has been following the rules. Even though it is practically impossible to expect everyone to follow the rules and regulations while on the road, it would certainly make some difference if all of them try.
The highest percentage of car accidents occur when the driver is a teenager or when the cars, such as some badly manufactured sports utility vehicles, roll over. Car manufacturers must take care when releasing new vehicles into the market, as profits are not everything. The safety of the customer must be first and foremost in mind while manufacturing a car. Some cars tend to roll over for no apparent reason and can cause disasters as a result. Before buying a car, it is wise to shop around and look for a company or a manufacturer with a good reputation rather than a popular brand name.
As mentioned, most car accidents are due to reckless driving. This is often due to teenagers who do not follow simple safety rules such as wearing a seat belt. Even though this might seem trivial when first mentioned, it might prove to be life threatening when involved in an actual accident.
Even when the driver follows the rules, another driver might crash from rear end or head on causing a lot of damage. Some drivers who do not follow proper lane rules may collide sideways with other cars when in a hurry to move faster or overtake the car in front. As mentioned, rollovers are another major cause for accidents with no fault on part of the driver. Faulty cars as well as reckless driving can sometimes result in pile-ups, especially on freeways and expressways.

Car Accident Lawsuits
By Eric Morris
A car accident lawsuit is filed by the injured party or by relatives or friends on behalf of the injured party. Since a car accident occurs when the car is faulty or due to another driver\'s negligence, it makes sense to file a case either against the manufacturer or the driver who caused the accident due to reckless driving. Some lawsuits have also been filed against the government for negligence that could have resulted in bad road conditions that might have caused an accident like a roll over or skid.
Most car accidents happen on busy roadways such as expressways, freeways, or highways with high speed limits. In such instances, if even just one driver neglects to follow proper driving rules or guidelines, it might result in a pileup resulting in excessive property damage and personal injuries. Teenagers who do not follow basic safety rules such as wearing a seat belt and passing with proper signals cause many car accidents. People who drink alcohol or take drugs are another major cause of car accidents are usually held liable if involved in an accident.
A properly filed lawsuit can help the injured party get compensation for their traumatic experience. In the cases mentioned above, the guilty party must pay for the medical bills and the property damage caused by the accident. Also, costs for any hospitalization to be done must be covered by the guilty party. Most common personal injuries caused during an accident are the knee injuries, spinal cord injuries, and brain injury due to shock. In such serious cases, a car accident lawsuit could be very helpful in obtaining compensation for all these losses as well as the money that the person might lose as wages while being laid up at the hospital.

How To Install Car Stereo Amplifier
By Ricky Lim
If you want to maximize the sound system of your car, we suggest that you install a car stereo amplifier in order to power up your speakers.
If you wish to use the subwoofers, you also need to get additional car stereo amplifier for these. Here is how you can install your car stereo amplifier yourself so that you can save money.
First and foremost, you must choose where to put your new car stereo amplifier. If you are putting subwoofers, it is best that you put these in the trunk next to where you put your enclosure.
If you are going to power your main speakers with your car stereo amplifier, then the best place is under the passenger’s seat.
You must have the following wiring for the car stereo amplifier – a thick power cable (check the total wattage of your amp so you know which one to get.
It is best if you consult with a sales rep or turn to the manual of the amplifier) that will reach from the battery of the car stereo amplifier, 3 feet of ground cable that is as thick as the power cable, an RCA signal cable that carry the right and left signals from the head unit to the car stereo amplifier.
If you want to power your main speakers up, you need a 16-gauge wire that would reach each speaker of the amp.
When installing the car stereo amplifier, have the following tools with you: screwdrivers, wire strippers, wire cutters, sandpaper, a utility knife, masking tape with a pen for labeling, and a crimp on o-ring.
You also need a 2-crimp on spade connector if you are hooking the car stereo amplifier for every speaker.
Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Never work on the electrical system of your car when this is still connected. This is for your own safety as well. Run the power cable through the firewall of your car.
There is an opening on the driver’s side. This will reach to the car stereo amplifier. If the am is in the back, then it is best that you run the wire under the plastic molding that is found along the bottom edge of your car. The wire and the power cable should never twirl and tie up.
Finally, connect everything to the car stereo amplifier. Strip as much as you can at the end of every wire in order to make the connection really solid and stable.
Do not have any wire exposing itself. If there are, then attach the amp with the 12-gauge speaker wire.

Car Accident Claims
By Eric Morris
This article provides useful, detailed information about Car Accident Claims.
A car accident comes under a personal injury lawsuit. A claim can be made by the injured party or by the relatives or friends of the injured party in relation to the damage caused by the other party in an accident. The claim is dealt with by the insurance companies of both parties to decide on proper compensation for all the damage caused.
Since almost all the drivers are insured, the insurance agent must determine the extent of damage caused and must be able to negotiate with the other party on behalf of the injured person. Both insurance companies can negotiate and decide on a correct monetary compensation that might be able to cover all the damage caused by the accident.
In the event that the other party does not accept the claim and contests the case, then the injured party might not receive the requisite amount to cover the property damage as well as the personal injuries caused by the accident. In such cases, a claim can be filed in a court. This results in the injured party filing a personal injury lawsuit to get proper compensation from the other party.
In order to file a personal injury claim, all the personal details of the involved party must be available along with the driving license details. The details pertaining to the make and model of the car has to be registered at the time of filing a claim. All the details can usually be obtained at the accident scene itself for initial negotiation between the two insurance companies. The medical details involved if the person is severely injured or hospitalized must be readily available while filing for a personal injury claim. It would be a good idea to use the police records while filing the case as they would register in detail all the injuries sustained by either or one of the parties involved in the accident. They also have photographs of the accident scene and can be valuable proof while filing a claim in the court.
Property damage and the loss of the injured party\'s of wages must also be covered in the claim. Medical costs as well as the hospitalization costs are considered along with the others while filing a personal injury claim. Personal injury claims are no good if little or no injuries or property damage occur and out of court settlements between both insurance companies would be the best option in such cases.

Ten Basic Car Maintenance Tips
By Bryce Stone
Car maintenance is especially important if you wish to protect your automotive investment. There are several maintenance related items that need to be dealt with on a regular basis in order to keep your car running smoothly. By dealing with these things before they become a problem, you can prevent future damages and increase the longevity of your car.
1. Change the oil regularly. It is an absolute necessity. Many people do not realize that the oil in the engine can become very dirty if it is not changed. Follow the schedule in your manual. Clean oil is important for making sure that everything runs smoothly.
2. Rotate the tires as needed. The outer edge of the tire can become worn down over time so the tires need to be rotated. This puts the unworn edge on the outside so that you can get more use out of the tires. Rotating tires as needed can substantially increase how much you get out of them.
3. Look over the belts inside your engine. If they look worn or frayed then it is time to replace them. You can often buy replacement belts at any auto parts store. Look up the right ones for your type of automobile.
4. Check your tire pressure often. If it is too low or too high, it could pose a problem. Keep this level maintained so that your tires last as long as they should. You can easily check this with an inexpensive tire gauge.
5. Make sure that your brake fluid is always well above the line that indicates a healthy minimum. Your brakes are the lifeline of your vehicle, something that you do not want to overlook.
6. Always run the right type of gasoline for your car or truck. The user manual indicates which type is ideal for the best performance possible. It is not wise to ignore this as it is there for a reason. Do what is best for your vehicle.
7. Keep your paint job new and clean by washing your vehicle on a regular basis. Use materials that are made for a car so that you know it is safe for the paint.
8. Waxing your car every few months is recommended for optimum paint protection. The wax creates a protective barrier from dirt and debris. Test various waxes until you find one that you like.
9. Keep your battery clean and check it regularly to ensure that it is maintaining a proper charge. Allowing the battery to get filthy can be problematic.
10. Check your signal and brake lights. It does not take much for them to burn out and you could be driving around without knowing it.

Car Accident Lawyers
By Eric Morris
This article provides useful, detailed information about Car Accident Lawyers.
Car accidents are usually considered to be personal injury cases in court. The driver can put up a case against the car manufacturer or against the guilty party for an injury settlement. An experienced car accident lawyer can look into the details of the lawsuit to ensure proper justice is carried out.
Car accident lawyers are specialized in this field and are experts in dealing with such cases. They are licensed to deal with these cases specifically and so can be of immense help in such situations. Most of them have a good grasp of the litigations involved in such cases and can deal with personal injury and property damage involved in an accident.
Car accident lawyers can help deal with the details of the accident such as witnesses, details of the guilty party, filing a police report, and other information that might be useful while filing a lawsuit.
Most car owners are covered by insurance these days. Although the insurance covers for the damage caused, including personal injury as well as the property damage, this can be settled in the court itself with the other party. The insurance of the guilty party mostly covers all the expenses of the injured party but in the event it does not, the case should go to court. A car accident lawyer can be invaluable in such cases where the negotiations would be required to ensure that the injured party gets all the necessary reimbursement for the trauma faced. A car accident lawyer will keep in mind all the injured party\'s legal rights and go through various options before arriving at the best solution.
Car accident lawyers can assist the injured party to get compensation for medical bills, rehabilitation expenses, disability claims, minor fractures and sufferings, as well as the loss of income due to the accident. Many other small details would also be taken care of over by a car accident lawyer.
Since these lawyers are specialized in this field, their expertise could be of immense help when involved in a car accident. They help smooth over the whole process for a nominal fee and can boost the morale just by being present to take over the matters on hand.

By Joe Kent
The latest generation Honda Accord has been a monumental hit. Larger, safer, and more feature-packed, the previous generation the 2009 Honda Accords has already won awards and praise and continues to be a dominant force in its segment. With intense competition from the Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima in particular, the Honda Accord has maintained itself as a segment leader.
Exterior styling is handsome, albeit a bit conservative. In traditional Honda fashion, the Accord has clean lines that will most certainly help the Accord age gracefully. Drivers at one Honda St Louis dealer have found that the styling may be conventional, but it also is gives a bit of an upscale appearance. Inside, South Bay Honda Service says Honda has illustrated its prowess for interior design and ergonomics. The dash layout is clean and organized, and fit and finish is simply top notch. Comfortable seats and ample space, not to mention Honda’s easy to use navigation system, also make the Accord to joy to drive around town or on long trips.
Available on the 2009 Honda Accord is a 271 horsepower V6. In addition to having no shortage of power on tap, the engine also features Variable Cylinder Management, which has become a popular feature at a Honda dealer Washington DC. This system maintains efficiency by shutting down cylinders at cruising speed, helping to get four-cylinder mileage from a V6. When mated to a five-speed automatic, the Honda Accord is smooth and light on its feet.
Overall, the latest Honda Accord is worth a look. Like all Honda sedans, Auto Loans Cleveland believes the Accord truly delivers value which means plenty in today’s economy. Balancing power and efficiency, luxury and versatility, is what the Accord continues to do with ease.

Buying A Private Number Plate
By Ross O'Donnell
The world of private number plates has changed dramatically with people from all walks of life enjoying the benefits of owning their very own personal car registration. This article offers tips on buying a private number plate and outlines some things you must bear in mind.
Private number plates have traditionally been associated with the rich and the famous or anyone wanting to show the world how successful they have become. However in today’s motoring world the popularity of personal number plates has moved into the fast lane with ever more of them being spotted on our roads. Private number plates are being enjoyed by people from all walks of life and give their owners vehicles a truly unique and distinctive mark.
There are millions of private number plates to choose from so finding one to suit you will not be hard. For some inspiration you can search your name or birthday or for a cost effective solution why not try and find your initials? When purchasing your new car registration number you will need to provide what is known as a nominee name. This is the name that appears in the V5 logbook for the vehicle the number will be assigned to. If you are purchasing a personal car registration as a gift be sure to check this name is correct when ordering.
There are certain things to bear in mind when choosing your own private number plates however the main question you must ask yourself is can the personal number plate go on your vehicle? The law states that a vehicle can be made to look older than it is but can never appear newer. For example, if you own a “55” reg car you could assign a “51” reg number plate or even a prefix or suffix registration such as a “P” reg however you could not assign a newer “56” registration number to your car. Private number plates can also be assigned to motorbikes, providing they follow this golden rule.
When you purchase a private number plate an £80 transfer fee must be paid. This money is a fix fee set by the DVLA to cover the cost and administration of assigning the number plate to your vehicle. This fee is also payable if you decide to transfer the registration from vehicle to vehicle. The current fee for putting a registration number on retention is £105 which is made up of the £80 assignment fee and £25 retention fee. The retention facility enables a registration number to be taken off a vehicle and held on a certificate pending assignment at a later date. Private number plates can be held indefinitely on certificates but must be renewed annually for £25.
Assigning you new number plate to your vehicle couldn’t be simpler and full instructions will be found on the reverse of you registrations certificate of entitlement. Applications can be made by post however a better option is to apply in person at your local DVLA where the transfer is completed as you wait. You will need you V5 Logbook, a photocopy of your tax disc and a copy of your MOT if applicable when assigning your registration and in return you will receive an updated tax disc and MOT (if applicable) showing your new registration number. An updated V5 log book will be sent later from DVLA Swansea. All that would be left to do is have your acrylic number plates produced and fix them to your vehicle. You are then ready to display you new number plate with pride!

Baby Car Seats
By Max Bellamy
This article provides useful, detailed information about Baby Car Seats.
Your baby undoubtedly deserves nothing more than the most comfortable and safest car seats, but with the hundreds of choices that all seem to offer different features, how do you know which is best? Use this guide to help you decide.
The features you should look for in a car seat should change as your baby grows. You typically start with a rear-facing seat for an infant, and then progress to a forward-facing child seat for toddlers, and then to a booster seat for bigger children. Let us discuss what you should look for in each type.
Rear-facing seats are designed for infants under twelve months. Look for a seat that is big enough to support the baby\'s head, neck, and spine. If your baby\'s head goes higher than the top part of the seat, get a bigger size or graduate to a car seat designed for toddlers.
Choose a rear-facing seat with sturdy harnesses – the more support, the better. Five-point harness straps support the shoulders, hips, and the crotch, but can be quite restricting. There are three-point versions available, which adequately secure the baby\'s shoulders and crotch. You may have to pay a few extra dollars for added features such as detachable bases that can be secured to your car, or adjustable bases, but these add-ons are more than worth it. Some models even have convertible seats, which are great if you have a big or a fast-growing baby.
Forward-facing car seats are needed when your baby is already a year old or older. Remember to install this seat on your back seat, not your front seat, because your airbags can injure your child or cause him or her to suffocate in the event of a collision.
Booster seats are for children ages four to six. These seats are designed much like adult car seats, with a seatbelt that supports both the rib cage and the hips. Fasten and adjust the belt just like you would your own seatbelt – the belt should go over the hips (not the tummy), and the strap should support the shoulder (not the neck).

How To Sell Your Personalised Reg Plates
By Ross O'Donnell
The price of car registrations tend to rise over time and owners of private number plates are cashing in their investment to pay for that dream holiday or put towards new ventures. This guide to selling car registrations provides all the information you will need to sell you number plate with ease.
Car registrations are one of the only aspects of motoring that actually increase in value over time. If you own personalised plates the chances are they will be worth more now than when you bought them. People sell their personalised car registrations for many reasons and this guide provides all the information to help you cash in your asset with ease.
Firstly you must be sure you want to sell you personalised plates as once it is sold it could be very hard (and costly!) to buy it back. When purchased, a car registration can be kept for life and passed on to younger generations or other family members.
So if you have decided you definitely want to sell your car registration the next stage is to advertise the plates. Adverts can be taken out in local and national papers or even online however one of the best places to advertise a car registration for sale is via a number plates dealership. By doing this you have the backing and knowledge of people in the trade who can help secure the best price for your registration. Their service is often free and they can carry out all the relevant paperwork for you. By using personalised plates dealer as an agent you do not have to field calls from potential buyers as they will negotiate on your behalf. They will also be responsible for collecting payment making it a more secure option when selling.
Personalised plates can be sold whilst still assigned to a vehicle or when being held on retention. If the number plate is still assigned to a vehicle when it is sold you can either do a direct vehicle to vehicle transfer or put the registration on retention depending on the buyer’s wishes.
For car to car transfers you will need to complete form V317 which is available from your local DVLA or Post Office. You application must include a V5 log book and MOT if applicable for both the donor and receiving vehicle. Both vehicles must also be taxed however licensing applications for untaxed vehicles can be made at the same time as the transfer providing the relevant documents and fees are enclosed.
To put a car registration on retention you will need to complete form V778/1 which is also available from local DVLA offices and Pos Offices. Your application must include the V5 log book for the donor vehicle, an MOT certificate if applicable. You must remember to add the new nominee name of the purchaser to the form in order for them to assign it to their vehicle.
The cost of a car to car transfer is £80 whilst the cost of putting a registration on retention is £105, both of which are payable to the DVLA at the time of your application.
There is no hard and fast rule about how long a number plate can take to sell. The main factors that determine a quick sale are the rarity of the registration, the popularity of the name or initials and the price of the number plate. Generally speaking the cheaper the number plate is the quicker it will sell however with rare dateless registrations and name plates it is advisable to hold out for a good price.

Tips to Find Personalised Number Plates
By Ross O'Donnell
Personalized number plates are one of the must have motoring accessories on today’s roads. Certain combinations of letters and numbers can be used to create names and words making great private number plates. This article gives inside tips on finding your perfect personalised number plates.
Drivers and passengers on today’s roads will have noticed the growing popularity of personalised number plates on peoples cars. Personalised number plates are no longer a luxury for the elite with thousands of cheap number plates now on the market. As with any car registration, personalised number plates are all different, combining letters and numbers to make a number plate that is totally unique. It is the way in which these characters are combined however that set personalised number plates apart from ordinary car registrations.
Personalised number plates can read peoples names, specific words or contain numbers significant to the owner. One of the most popular and affordable choices is to buy personalised number plates which contain you initials. Many of these are available for under £300.
For people considering buying a new reg for their car it is helpful to understand how personalised number plates are made up. Personalised number plates often use numbers to represent letters. The classic example is the number 3 representing the letter E. Other numbers used are 1’s to represent I’s , a 2 is usually read as the letter R and the number 4 is used to represent the letter A. By employing these simple rules some great personalised number plates have been found such as MAS 732S (Masters). Other digits such as the number 11 can be used to represent an H or a U however it requires the ominous “bolt” between the numbers. Altering a number plate in any form is illegal and by doing so the keeper is liable to a fine and the car can fail an MOT inspection.
When buying personalised number plates you cannot simply create a number plate using any letters or numbers you wish. All personalised number plates must follow a set format set by the DVLA. The oldest private registration numbers are called dateless number plates. Dateless number plates have no age identifier and can be assigned to any vehicle, regardless of age. Personalized number plates of this type come in two varieties; letters followed by numbers and numbers followed by letters. Dateless number plates with the numbers first came about when the original dateless series were exhausted. Local councils reversed the format to double the amount of combinations available. For this reason dateless number plates with numbers firsts are called reverse dateless number plates. Generally speaking it is more desirable to have the format of letters followed by numbers as it shows the number plate is an original issue, generally older and therefore more valuable.
Other types of personalised number plates include suffix and prefix car registrations. Suffix number plates have 3 letters followed by up to 3 numbers and then a final letter denoting the year it was issued. Prefix personalised number plates are the opposite of suffix registrations and have a letter denoting year of issue followed by up to 3 numbers and then 3 letters. In September 2001 the DVLA introduced the current format of number plates which has 2 letters followed by 2 numbers and then 3 letters. At first it was thought this new format would not yield many good personalised number plates however over the years some classic examples have been found such as BL07 GGS (Bloggs) and RU55 ELL (Russell).
When buying personalized number plates always remember that you can never make your car appear younger than it is. For example a new 57 reg cannot be assigned to a vehicle that is 10 years old as it would make it look newer. You can however make a vehicle appear older. If in doubt contact you number plate dealer.

How To Transfer A Car Registration Number
By Ross O'Donnell
A guide to transferring car registration number plates for people who own personalised plates and wish to keep them as they change vehicles. Private reg owners of DVLA number plates will have a number of transfer applications available to them.
If you own a private number plate and have upgraded you vehicle you may wish to transfer the registration number your new car. Transferring a private registration from one vehicle to another is incredibly easy and quick to do.
To transfer a private number plate you will need to complete a V317 form which you can pick up from a local DVLA office or your main Post Office. You will need to provide the details of the donor vehicle (the vehicle which currently carries the registration number) and details of the receiving vehicle. For a transfer to take place, vehicles must be currently licensed and have a valid MOT if applicable.
When applying to transfer a car registration number you will have to include the V5/V5C log books for the two vehicles involved in the transfer, an MOT test certificate for each vehicle, if applicable, photocopies of each tax disc and the transfer fee which currently stands at £80. Vehicles which are untaxed can be taxed at the same time as the application by enclosing a V10 or V85 vehicle licence application form along with the insurance cover note and excise duty.
Transfer applications can be made if the donor vehicle is unlicensed providing the license did not expire more than 12 months ago, the vehicle has been declared SORN, and there was no gap between the expiry date and the commencement of the SORN declaration. It is likely that the vehicle will be requested for inspection if the licence has expired or it is not old enough to qualify for an MOT. This is to ensure the vehicle is eligible to take part in the transfer process. A transfer application can also be made for vehicles which have been written off providing your insurance company gives authorisation, the vehicle can be inspected by the DVLA and all other conditions of transfer are met by both vehicles.
So once you have sent off your application, what happens next? When the vehicle details have been confirmed the transfer application will be processed and a new tax disc will be issued for each vehicle showing the new registrations. Please note that the number plate on the receiving vehicle will be cancelled unless an application to transfer or retain the registration is made at the time of the transfer. Confirmation of completion is when your new tax disc is received. An updated V5 log book will follow from DVLA Swansea.
The donor vehicle will have an age related number plate will be issued free of charge. Where possible this will be the original mark that was issued prior to the initial assignment of a personal registration number. Vehicles which were registered before 1963 will be issued with a dateless registration which is non transferable. A new personal registration can however be assigned at a later date if so wished.
When making a transfer application always remember that you can never make your car appear newer than it is. For example a “W” prefix number cannot be assigned to a “C” registered car but a “D” prefix number could be assigned to a “Y” registered car. If in doubt contact your local DVLA office. Likewise you must remember that Q and NIQ registrations cannot be transferred.
If you need to take your personal registration off your vehicle but do not have another vehicle to assign it to don’t panic. The DVLA retention scheme was set up to allow owners of private number plates to hold them on a certificate without being assigned to a vehicle. For more details and to apply to retain your registration, you should contact your local DVLA office or main post office and ask for form V778/1.
The great thing about number plates is that they last a lifetime and with the DVLA transfer and retention schemes you can transfer you number plate from car to car as you upgrade and your registration can stay with you for life.

Fuel Tips For Your Car
By Cecilia Sherrard
With gas prices soaring, we all could use helpful tips on ways to save. If you're buying a new car, or want to save with your existing car, these tips should be used by everyone.
If you're buying a new car, it's an obvious no brainer that a large SUV vs. a fuel efficient sports car is going to be less costly at the pump. Knowing how many miles per gallon you can get will save you a lot of cash. The difference between a car that gets 20 miles per gallon vs. one that gets 30 can save you $550 a year. ($2,200 in four years) That might make for a decent vacation. I'm sure you deserve one. Keep in mind similar compact cars can still have a wide range from 21 mpg to 48 mpg. Of course you want the highest number.
Tips that add upOk, so you have a small Toyota, or you're already stuck with a larger full size model/SUV, here are some additional ways to save everyday.
Clean out your trunk! Don't carry around those golf clubs, or stroller. (I used to keep my real estate yard signs in my trunk) Store it in the garage. Removing excess weight from your vehicle can improve your gas mileage. In fact, carrying around an extra 100 lbs. of weight can cost you an additional 2 cents per gallon.
Replace clogged air filters. This can save you approx. 10%. Your car's air filter keeps impurities from damaging the inside of your engine. Not only will replacing a dirty air filter save gas, it will protect your engine. This is especially true if you drive in the city.
SLOW DOWN! Try to pay attention to the speed you pick up while approaching a red light. We don't often consider it while on the phone, or day dreaming. The majority of drivers actually drive to the red light keeping up with the flow of traffic. (When it's red, roll) Why have a race to the light? The same applies in bumper to bumper traffic and a line at a stop sign. It's actually amazing how many people press on the gas pedal to move a few feet in traffic. It's hard to remember this, because we're set on auto pilot. I call this getting "Nowhere fast." The less contact with that pedal the better. It all adds up.
Don't forget to keep your tires inflated to the right pressure. Under- inflated tires can lower your gas mileage.
Find a buddy. Not only can driving to work be a hassle, but it can be lonely too. So why not pair up with a fellow commuter and share the cost? A 40 mile total daily commute costs about $2,600 per year. Ridesharing with one other person can save you $1,300. Double the figure for an 80 mile total daily commute. It's something to think about even just a few days a week.
There are websites dedicated to gas prices. It may not be a bad idea to check for the cheapest gas stations in the Cleveland Ohio area. www.gasbuddy.com www.gaswatch.org

Are Japanese Used Cars worth Our While
By Rei Yonekura
In past years it wasn't unusual to witness basically everyone on the block with the standard American brand vehicle. This may sound a little suspect to some people because many people have the tendency of getting confused when it comes to identifying a standard American brand vehicle.
From the viewpoint in which a standard American brand vehicle is referred to in basically all sources is due to the fact that almost all of them are not only large internally but externally as well. On the other hand, most Japanese used cars which are relatively large on the outside are smaller on the inside, as far as engines are concern but most people are quick to say, what does that have to do with anything.
The answer to that question in which many people are posing is everything! The reason being is because the larger the engine is of a particular vehicle, the more fuel you're subject to spend on it. On average, it's estimated for basically any standard American brand automobile to pay roughly $1000 a month of fuel expenses. On the other hand, if you side with Japanese used cars like a Skyline; you're subject to save 75% of that monthly expense. This means that you could save roughly $750 a month if you chose to go with Japanese used cars like the aforementioned Bighorn.
In this present economic crisis it's no longer about driving around in luxury vehicles any more. It's more about finding ways to save money and a more economically friendly vehicle is on the top of everyone's hit list. As a matter of fact, it's increasingly becoming the norm for many people to side with more economically friendly vehicles like used Japanese cars. The reason for this is because many people are feeling the pinch in the pocketbooks and they're now looking for the best ways to cut down on expenses. It's not surprising to witness more and more people trading in their standard American vehicle for imported Japanese vehicles.
If you're interested in Japanese used cars then the best place to look into would be Japanese used car auctions because they have been presenting themselves as idea places to search for and find Japanese manufactured vehicles that are high in performance at affordable prices. Cars such as the Supra, Skyline and many more can be found in very good condition at sometimes unbelievable prices. The one thing that most people are more concern with is importing the vehicles from the Japanese used car auction places.
The process of importing Japanese vehicles can be rather taxing; especially when coming from used car auctions in Japan. There is some red tape you'll have to fight through but if you're serious about doing what it takes to make your way of living more manageable then you'll do what it takes to create it; however, you don't want to put yourself in a situation where the process of importing Japanese used cars becomes too stressful or futile. There are a number of options to consider before taking this route and it pays dearly to address them all before getting way over your head. One of the most important questions to ask before proceeding into importing a Japanese vehicle is, have you check with enough dealerships in your own country?
